Views from the Beach

Himself came home from his walk telling me that there might be some nice shots on the beach as the fog was in. The beach, being only a short walk down the road, I grabbed the camera and off we went. So, here are some "moody" photos.

It was strange as the sun was shining behind me as you can see from the photos below.

Really stunning pictures OC - Himself was right; very atmospheric. The fourth one really grabs my eye in particular.. (and all the reflections of course :D )

And to think you have such views just a short jaunt down your road. Lovely. An interesting day with the sun and the mists

oooh, lubbly pix, and gorgeous ones of the squirrel! Mooses and squirrels are my favourite critters, well, and dogs, mice, horses, ducks, dolphins, giraffes, penguins, deer, hedgehogs, pigs, sheep, bears, zebras .... oh, well all critters apart from spiders as there seems to be millions of them this year - the faster I catch them in a glass with a card over the top, and put them out in the garden - the faster they come back indoors again! xxx

Everyone, okay not everyone, tries to take nice sunny blue sky photos. All the best phot's i've ever taken have been dark and moody, there's something etherial about mist over water and the silence it brings. You should send himself out the house even more... give him the camera and you can put your feet up with a whisky and soda awaiting his return :-)

Trica, thanks for the compliment.

Cicero, we are very lucky to have a beach so close and hardly ever anyone on it.

Cindy, we do the same thing with spiders, wasps and bees that come into the house.

Andrew, what a smashing idea. Worth trying me thinks, lol.

Looks like a nice Summer in Newfoundland. I do envy you that beach.
